The Singapore company RiSC-SOM
Tech. is headquartered in Singapore, and maintains local
customer support offices in several countries throughout Asia,
Europe and North America. RiSC-SOM is specialized in the
development, the production and the distribution of highly
miniaturized embedded computers based on Intel/Marvell XScale®
(Bulverde PXA270, Monahans PXA320), MIPS® Technologies
Multimedia/Networking Processors and Intel / AMD x86 Processors.
RiSC-SOM was founded in Dec 2004
by private investors as shareholder company. The company
distributes its products and services exclusively over the
Internet. In January 2008, RiSC-SOM served a customer base of
500 companies in more than 30 countries.
Among others, RiSC-SOM products
are used in the following areas: multimedia terminal,
automotive, medical devices, laboratory equipment, point of
sales, gaming machines, navigation systems, musical instruments,
machine control, virtual reality simulation, public signage,
traffic control systems, building automation, security systems,
robotics, process control and auto pilots.
RiSC-SOM computer modules are
also very popular with universities and research labs.
